Development Dynamics

Movement & Organizational Building

Overview

Empowering movements and strengthening organisations is central to Development Dynamics. We partner with coalitions, youth networks, and civil society alliances to build leadership, foster collaboration, and amplify advocacy. Our services include movement strategy design, leadership training, and organisational capacity building, using human centred design to co-create campaigns with youth and systems practice to map how movements shift power and policy.

Youth SRHR Movement Billi Now Now #24Under24

What we did: Co‑designed and delivered the #24Under24 Movement Building Masterclass with Planned Parenthood Global to train 24 young SRHR advocates under 24 in leadership, advocacy, and network building.

Approach: Human centred design to identify local challenges, prototype campaigns, and link participants with mentors.

Impact: Graduates launched school health clubs and social media campaigns and remain active in a pan‑African youth SRHR network, demonstrating sustained leadership and locally led action.

Reproductive Health Rights Alliance Kenya

What we did: Supported the revitalisation of Kenya’s RHRA through strategy, governance redesign, and movement building training for members.

Approach: Facilitated coalition re‑launch, governance reform, and capacity building for medical students and grassroots advocates using feminist and youth movement practices.

Impact: The Alliance emerged with clearer vision, active working groups, and renewed capacity to lead national reproductive rights campaigns.

Community Engagement for HIV Awareness

What we did: Strengthened the SKY Girls social marketing movement in partnership with Good Business and Tandem Network, funded by the Gates Foundation.

Approach: Refined peer outreach models and integrated intersectional gender empowerment messaging through workshops with girl ambassadors and creative partners.

Impact: Improved campaign resonance and behaviour change outcomes, higher engagement among girls, and stronger links between community insight and behaviour change strategy.
